Afrodite Shorts is a short film festival organised by Donne nell’Audiovisivo – Women in Film Italy, an association born in ’96 which aims to promote and celebrate women working in the audio-visual field.
The festival’s objective is to foster and scout young women filmmakers in the context of short films where they can express their talent, their dreams and their reality as women. Short and brave, new and original are the qualities that the Association and the Jury look for in the international landscape of short films but especially the Italian one.
The Committee will entrust the judgment of the official selection to a Jury of experts. In the previous editions the Jury was composed by Laura Delli Colli, Cinzia TH Torrini (Director), Paola Mammini (Screenwriter)in the first year, Serena Dandini, Anita Caprioli (Actor) and Ludovica Rampoldi (Screenwriter) in the second year and actresses Nancy Brilli, Lorenza Indovina and Daniela Virgilio on the 2018 edition. Considering courage and innovation, the Association will select the works that most represent the themes it deems relevant to its objective.
